Sophie J. Lynd

Sophie is a sophomore at UC Santa Barbara. She began her journalism career as a sophomore in high school writing about campus events and editing features. By her senior year, she was the Editor-in-Chief of The Highlander, her high school's bi-monthly newspaper. Sophie is currently pursuing a double major in Theatre Design and Communication as well as a minor in Professional Writing. Sophie became a member of the copy editing team for The Daily Nexus, UCSB's independent, student-run news publication, at the beginning of her sophomore year. She hopes to continue writing and editing for the Nexus throughout the rest of her time at UCSB. She hopes you enjoy her portfolio!
